Method arguments--getting a exception
Aug 10, 2004 12:19 AM

When i tried to pass more than 254 arguments to a function, i got a exception like this....

C:\jdk1.3.1_09\bin>java Experiment1
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.VerifyError: (class: Experiment1, method: main signature: ([Ljava/lang/String;)V) Signature
(IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII?E?

can anyone tell me what this exception is and how it can be handled. when i passed 254 arguments to function, the program worked fine and did not throw any exception.

Thank in advance

Arun

you answered it yourself.

It's NOT possible to handle more than 254 parameters!

But nonethelesse, it's a **** bad style to pass so much parameters. but a nice test. :-)
