Email Parsing
Aug 6, 2004 11:29 AM

I want to parse all the emails that will be coming to a specific email address, say test@test.com.
I want to have a java application running and listening all the time to all the emails that come to this email address.
Once it get an email, it needs to parse the content and do whatever with the content.

Has anyone done anything like this before? Any hints on how to start?

thanks.

What do you mean "parse the content"? Is it known that the content will be in a particular format?

They will be plain text.
It will be key value pairs where the keys will be fixed and pre determined.

He means parsing the the MimeMessage, and headers. I would suggets java Mail API would be your best bet.
