Hyperlink in an applet (to save files)
Aug 3, 2004 9:57 AM

Hi All,

I want the user of an applet to be able to save a selected file ussing a button. I was wondering if that might be done with an hyperlink or something like that. How can I add an Hyperlik to a button? Any other ideas?

Thanks much!

Ok.. Basically what I want is for the user to be able to save a postscript file (the applet knows the URL), so I thoght if I direct to that URL the browser will try to save it because it is a ps file.

Ah, okay; I see what you're saying.

Here are the instructions for opening a browser window towards a given URL; it might work, but I'm not sure...

Thanks a lot. It works as I expected. It might not be the most elegant solution but its a way to get around signing the applet (especially for me since I'm very new in java).
