Aug 1, 2004 2:58 AM

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how can I insert
System.out.println
in the code with only a key-kombination in Eclipse 3

Thanks!

AFAIK that can't be done. But you can create simple 'aliases'. For instance, typing
sysout

Then pressing CTRL+SPACE it will convert to System.out.println() with the cursor between the brackets.

Thank you Kevin,

yes, I also found out that way and I customized it a bit:
in
Window/Preferences and Java/Editor/Templates

I put the same sysout has under a new name oo. oo because with only one o, you have to work out a long list of options which use the o.

Now it is a bit faster (have to type less :)
