Use I/O Ports
Jul 18, 2004 6:51 PM

Hi,
is it possible to use the I/O Ports of the host system directly?
I know about the javax.comm. library.
But the port I want to use doesnt show up as parallel or serial port. It is Port 60 (in Hex) on Windows (Keyboard controller).

Anyone an idea?

It is possible. In fact I solved the problem.
Its easy if you use the JNI and a Windows dll called inpout32.dll.
I used in some VB projects and now simply put the JNI in.
