Transferring files to a Server. Guidance required
Jul 12, 2004 2:36 AM

Hi ya

I need to send a file (lets say a file called 'A.txt') from a client
to a server.

At the server,I re create this file,so that the server
has the same file that it received.

Which is a better option to do this?

1) Serialization
or
Using the FileReader and Writer

An urgent response is appreciated

If it's not a Java object, you cannot do it with serialization. If you're talking about the sending part, a FileReader/Writer probably will not work either (perhaps if the client and server are on the same network you could write to a share or something). I would think you need to use some kind of stream to send the file. I would look through the io package and see what might be appropriate.
