Help in Java Stored Procedure.
Jul 9, 2004 5:37 AM

Hi All,

I have java stored procedure . Now the java file for it is as given below

public class SelectSP{
public static String select(){
return "Hello World";
}

}

When I try to load the java file using the command

D:\Oracle\ora81\bin\loadjava -u NAVTMATD2/ NAVTMATD2@ NAVTMATD –v –r SelectSP.java

and I have checked that none of the parameters are incorrect. The error that I get is

arguments: '-u' 'sumeet/password@SENNA_10.8.20.138' '-v' '-r' 'SelectSP.java'
creating : source SelectSP
loading : source SelectSP
creating : SelectSP
resolving: source SelectSP
Error while resolving SelectSP
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
The following operations failed
source SelectSP: resolution
exiting : Failures occurred during processing

I simply don't understand why this error is occuring. And my user has DBA priviliges and I have also allocated all the dbms permission.

So why this problem?

I've never done this before, but on this google search
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22java+stored+procedure%22+hello

This was the first hit
http://otn.oracle.com/oramag/oracle/03-jan/o13java.html

and after 30 seconds of looking at it, I noticed this line
loadjava -user scott/tiger Hello.class

was specifing .class instead of your .java
Could that be the problem?????
