how to get absolute path of files using JFileChooser

Hi guys,
how do i get the absolute file name using JFileChooser. i hav tried using the getName() method. But i just get the filename alone, not its path. How do i get around this?

oh, I don't know... maybe "getAbsolutePath()"?

i got the method: getCanonicalPath() .it'll return the absolute path of the file
