Use the JavaMail API, which is available as part of the J2EE SDK or separately.

See the jGuru tutorial to get started with the API.

Thank God, for a while there I was a bit afraid.

to start writing this java program.

Okay, so the first thing is to learn Java. Come back when you've done that (2-3 years should do it).

The best advice the gods can give to you is to use this site: http://www.spellcheck.net/

I think is my concern how i fare for java and not meant for you to comments on me.

However if i success in learning my java, i doubts that i will come back and ask question here as there are some people who are so proud and unwilling to offer any help.

Thanks.

to check my spelling, i can write and speak proper english. It's just the way i carry myself. If you do have a problem reading what i'm typing, i suggust you close your IE and open a brand new page.
Anyway thank for your concern.

No offence, but while ParvatiDevi could of said it nicer, your posts are quite hard to read.

People here want to help, you can help us to help you by making sure you posts are easy to read. That includes spell checking (says me, who rarely spellchecks)
I also recomend writing a meaningful subject.

So you're doing a biometric security whatchamacallit and you don't know how to program.

Then you write like a 14 year old (of course if you are 14 it's understandable).

What I'm trying to say is, with the assets you're presenting us with, you have no chance of ever finishing your project. In fact, I'd be quite surprised if you even managed to start it properly.

Also, I don't use IE :)

Hi,

I definitely understand what you mean but it depends on how the person comments.
If he is polite enough i will do so too however if he give comments in a very rude manner i don't think i need to reply very polite to him.

Whether i have a chance to finish my project is none of your concern.
Whether i write like a 14yr old or not is also none of your concern.

If you are not willing to give suggestion then i suggest you stop posting any sarcastic remarks.
It will not be helpful too.
However given the way you reply, the assets you present to us also show a way of immaturity.
I suppose this forum is to help us clarify our doubts.
I will be very very grateful if you stop posting if you are not giving any suggestion.

Thank you.

Yes it is, I don't want to read text that seems like it was written by a monkey.

There was no sarcasm in my comment about learning to program. Here's how it will go:

You'll ask for help in some trivial matter, someone will help you. Eventually people will get pissed off at you (I'm already pissed off at you, but I have this medical condition that makes me act like a jerk and/or idiot) and horrible horrible things will happen.

See, what you need to understand is that since you're asking for help, the burden is on you to make it easy for people to help you, and not to piss off your potential helpers.

Nobody here has been particularly rude to you. If you want help, you need to write clearly--nobody is going to want to help you if you can't be bothered to make it easy to understand your question.

Speaking of your question, that's the other thing you'll need to do if you want help here--ask the right question. You asked something very vague about sending email, so somebody gave you a perfectly appropriate response: Use the JavaMail API. They even included a link, I believe.

Then you say "How can I write this biometric whatever program?" That's not reasonable question. First of all, nobody here knows your requirements, or what you're really asking. Additionally, these forums are not a good venue for "Hey, let's collaborate from start to finish on my project." They're better suited to smaller, more specific questions. If you have no clue how to even begin this project (which is what it sounds like) then you need to seek one-on-one help from your instructor or a classmate or a tutor.
