Loading 2 main classes inside one JVM.....
Jun 23, 2004 1:16 PM

Can anyone comment on the subject line? I have a java server and servlet. Different directories. Is it possible, or practical to load the main class from both the server and servlet into a single JVM. Would there be any conflicts in doing so? Even if I use packages. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Can you describe what you mean by "the main class from both the server and servlet"? If you mean is it possible to execute the main method of two classes in the same JVM, the answer is yes, because the main method is just like any other static method.

Yes, that is exactly what I meant. I apologize for not being clear. Okay then, I am glad that it seems there will be no conflicts in performing this task. Thanks for responding.
