Quiz Program
Jun 15, 2004 9:18 PM

Ok, here's my "problem", which is not really a problem, but a stumbling block. For a final in English I wrote a kind of fake Flash quiz program. Such as "This symbol represents what", etc. The teacher was rather impressed, and asked me to write one for her to use for real next year. This is not a computer-oriented person. I want to make the program simple enough that she can write the questions, not me. Here's what I have...
I want to have one class for the actual quiz, and one for creating the questions. My question to you, is how do I keep track of the questions? Would an external text file be good? If so, how would I parse that, both in the game, and so she can add/subtract from it. Another question I had was a scoring system. If anyone has written such a program, (or game as it's close to one) and can give me insight, again, should it be external, or in some way updated as if a server? Thanks for your time!

File, database, something... File's probably easy enough for this.

Sure, why not?

By adopting some consistent format - probably one question/answer per line, separated by some unique delineator. Read in the questions, spit 'em back out when you need to.

It's all up to you.
