Can you launch a Python app from a Java app?
Jan 9, 2004 7:56 AM

I have developed an application suite, a "toolkit" with various user tools in it for an SBIR project. This piece is a Java Swing application (not applet). There is another developer working on a separate piece, written in Python. I now find out that her piece needs to be launched from within the "toolkit" I have written in Java. Is this possible, and if so, how do you do it?

Also, there is a Macromedia tutorial they would like to launch as well. Same question as above but on Macromedia from within a Java app.

Thanks in advance...

Gil

In my machine I would run a Python program with
Runtime.exec ("c:\\python22
python myprogram.py");
(I have the ActiveState python distribution installed)

Does anyone know of a tool that can convert Python source code to Java?
